The goal of this program is to provide mental health professionals with up-to-date, accurate information about how mental health is affected in people with diabetes and helping these professionals be more comfortable caring for people with diabetes.

Diabetes Is Primary (DIP) is based on the ADA’s Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes (SOC)—the gold standard in diabetes treatment. The program, designed for primary care practitioners on the front-lines of diabetes care, provides an excellent foundation in diabetes management. It is also appropriate for any clinicians who are new to practice or seeking a refresher on the clinical management of diabetes.

This program is designed to help optometrists expand their understanding of the prevalence, risk factors, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diabetes and prediabetes.

This goal of this course is to educate primary care providers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and other health care professionals with accurate information about how to best support eye health for patients with diabetes. Learners will review diabetes-related eye disease, recognize how to foster collaborative care with other health care professionals, and review the current practice recommendations relevant to ocular manifestations of diabetes.

Using a case-based approach, the Making Diabetes Technology Work CE program features 14 modules that focus on implementing technology and utilizing data for shared decision making and addresses barriers and health equity issues related to diabetes technology. The program features opportunities for networking and best-practice sharing through online discussions and highlights clinics and health systems that are successfully achieving good health outcomes with their patients using diabetes technology.
